The Fondation du Patrimoine, in partnership with regional authorities

Regional authorities are becoming more and more willing to support restoration and maintenance projects on built heritage in their respective regions and therefore play an essential role in this area. Thanks to their knowledge of the individuals and the land, local councillors are in an ideal position to bring together those wishing to contribute to the restoration of local heritage.
This is why the Fondation du Patrimoine, whose board of directors includes representatives from the regions, départements and communes, sets up partnerships with regional authorities and encourages their councillors to rally support for local restoration projects.

Partnerships with regional and département councils.

Partnerships with the départements and regions drive the Fondation to support the restoration of local, unprotected heritage in the various regions, identifying the buildings under threat and co-financing their restoration.

Subsidisation of restoration projects taken on by a commune.

As a public utility, the Fondation du Patrimoine can gather donations to finance a project where the maîtrise d'ouvrage is insured by a commune or by an association. The funds raised are then passed onto the maîtrise d'ouvrage (minus 3% for management fee).
