Daughter organisations
Following the Act of 23rd July, 1987, then modified by article 20 by the Act of 4th July, 1990, a daughter organisation will donate estate, rights or resources to a foundation that is recognised as a public utility, in order to carry out a work serving the public interest. These donations will be managed directly by the foundation receiving them, yet without there being formed a new legal body. Following these stipulations, the Foundation has three daughter organisations.
La Fondation du Patrimoine maritime et fluvial was initiated in 1992 by the sénateur Louis de Catuelan and Jean-Yves Le Drian, then State Secretary to the Minister for Maritime Affairs, as a predecessor for the La Fondation du Patrimoine maritime et fluvial.
In 1997, the Fondation du Patrimoine maritime et fluvial (FPMF) was established and, under convention, becomes a daughter association of La Fondation du Patrimoine. This step shows how integral a part coastal heritage represents within our French heritage.
Created in 1998 by Jacqueline Goury-Laffont, in memory of her husband, Dr Maxime Goury-Laffont, a connoisseur and friend of artists, the Fondation Goury-Laffont works to preserve historical, architectural and cultural heritage. .
The Fondation Gilles et Monique Cugnier was created late in 2004, and helps preserve the monastery of Luxeuil. Its administrative board, chaired by Dr Cugnier, was set up on the 17 November, 2005

Pioneering aerial photography for over 12 years, Sylvain AUGIER flies over France capturing then producing breathtaking pictures for the television. From such a vantage point the true beauty of our landscapes is revealed to him, an observer in the museum of the skies.
Moreover, our industrial and urban areas in a constant state of growth and expansion, it is vital that we respect and preserve the landscapes that make up our natural and built heritage. As Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said; ‘We do not inherit the land from our fathers, we borrow it from our children.' In creating this foundation, recognised as a public utility under the umbrella of the Fondation du Patrimoine, Sylvain AUGIER will use his celebrated status to highlight the Fondation's principal aims and activities, raising awareness of both the public and of socio-economic bodies on the importance of preserving the beauty of our landscapes.
